Just Launched: Nivea Soft Light Moisturizer, Berry Blossom-Review

Skin type: Normal to dry

Hello beautiful!

A couple of days back, I reviewed the Tropical Fruit variant of Nivea’s Soft Light Moisturizer that has been launched recently. And today I have with me another one that goes by the name Berry Blossom. So if you wish to know how this one fared out for me, please keep on reading. Let’s begin…

What The Brand Claims: Enriched with Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E, Nivea Soft is a non-greasy moisturizing cream that refreshes your skin, making it smooth, soft, supple and healthy. The light texture and fast-absorbing formula make it spread easily on your skin with just one application. It is highly effective on face, hands and body. This all purpose cream is specially made to care for all skin types in all seasons. Now indulge in the goodness of Nivea soft in three exciting new fragrances. So get ready, find your scent.

Keep your skin fresh with the playful scent of berries. Its non-greasy formula, enriched with Vitamin E and Jojoba Oil, leaves the skin feeling fresh and soft.

Packaging: The moisturizer comes in a pretty pink and white tub packaging that instantly catches one’s attention. As you open the top cover, there is a silver foil covering that needs to be removed in order to use the product. All the important details such as price, net product volume, ingredient list, manufacturing date and expiry date are clearly spelt out. All in all, I just loved the packaging! It’s pretty, fun as well as travel friendly! 🙂

Ingredient List:

My Experience With The Product: Nivea Soft Light Moisturizer, Berry Blossom is white in color and has a silky smooth formula. It spreads on the skin like a dream and gets absorbed almost instantly. It completely blends in and does not leave behind any greasiness or stickiness at all. It leaves the skin soft and hydrated and is absolutely lightweight and non-greasy. In fact, you don’t even feel if you have applied something on, which is impressive!

I feel the product would work best for those with combination to dry skin and would be great for the summer season. Now coming to the fragrance, I personally love fruity scents, which is one of the reasons I bought this. But this moisturizer has a scent that somehow reminds me of a cough syrup and lingers on for some time. I would recommend you to sniff it first before purchasing, since the fragrance might not be liked by everyone.

The product comes in 3 sizes; so you can pick a smaller one first in order to try it out. The only downside to this moisturizer is that it contains quite a lot of chemicals and alcohol too, which is really a disappointment!

  • Vibrant, fun and travel friendly packaging
  • Incredibly smooth formula, a dream to work with
  • Gets absorbed in a jiffy
  • Leaves the skin soft, supple and hydrated
  • Completely blends into the skin, does not leave behind any residue at all
  • Absolutely lightweight and non-greasy, feels really comfortable on the skin
  • Great pick for the summer season
  • Available in 3 sizes

  • Contains quite a lot of chemicals as well as alcohol 😦
  • The fragrance reminds me of a cough syrup, something that would not be liked by everyone
  • Some might find tub packaging to be unhygienic
  • Not moisturizing enough for those with very dry skin

Price: Rs 85 for 50 ml

Rs 160 for 100 ml

Rs 270 for 200 ml

Rating: A-

Do I Recommend This? To sum up, I would say that Nivea Soft Light Moisturizer, Berry Blossom has a smooth texture that beautifully blends into the skin. It is completely lightweight and non-greasy and leaves the skin soft and hydrated.

But on the flip side, the scent is no way close to that of Berries and would not be liked by everyone. I suggest you to sniff it first before purchasing. Also, the product contains quite a lot of chemicals as well as alcohol, which is such a disappointment. Other than that, this is definitely a nice moisturizer to try out!

Till next time,
