Nivea Milk Delights Face Wash, Precious Saffron: Review

Skin type: Normal to dry

Hey there!

I am back today with yet another new launch from the house of Nivea. This is their Milk Delights Face Wash in the Precious Saffron variant, that I just recently finished. So let’s get on with the detailed review and see how was my experience with this one. Keep on reading…

What The Brand Claims: A splash of care that leaves your skin glowing with good health. Nivea Milk Delights® with Precious Saffron removes impurities within your skin like dirt, dust and sweat.

The Milk acts as a natural cleanser, while precious Saffron brightens your face and helps your skin look and feel healthy.

Packaging: The face wash comes in a beautiful conical shaped bottle that is solid as well as sturdy. It comes with a flip-top cap that shuts tightly with a click and makes it secure to carry in your bag. All the important details such as date of manufacturing, use-before date, price, ingredient list as well as net product quantity are clearly spelt out. Overall, the packaging is attractive, hygienic-to-use and travel friendly!

Ingredient List:

My Experience With The Product: Nivea Milk Delights Face Wash, Precious Saffron is white in color and has a runny, lotion-like consistency. It also contains scantly distributed red beads that might indicate the presence of Saffron. Anyways, these are hardly noticeable and dissolve as soon as you rub the product between your palms. It produces a rich, creamy lather and effectively cleanses the skin. It removes all traces of dirt and impurities and leaves the face clean and fresh. In addition, it does not dry my skin out, which is a plus!

Now I was using this face wash when I had some dry patches on my face and slightly broken skin. I noticed a strong sensation and it even broke me out a little. I feel this is because of the presence of so many chemicals! Thus, I always suggest to do a patch test first, especially if you have sensitive skin.

I feel this face wash would work best for those with normal to dry skin. Rinsing the product off is quick and fuss-free as it easily comes off in one go. It does not leave any residue behind, which is great! Coming to the fragrance, it has a soft pleasant scent that quickly disappears. However, when I sniffed too closely, I could certainly smell the artificial chemical scent, which is disappointing! The product comes in 2 sizes and can be easily found online as well as in stores.

PS: Since this face wash contains parabens, alcohol and a long list of chemicals, I strongly recommend you to do a patch test first.

Rating: B-

Final Thoughts: Nivea Milk Delights Face Wash, Precious Saffron has a smooth, runny formula that produces a rich and creamy lather. It effectively cleanses the face and leaves it clean and refreshed. It does not dry out the skin and is easy to rinse off too. Also, it has a soft, pleasant scent that would not bother sensitive noses at all.

However, this product contains a long, long list of chemicals that I am just not okay with! Why would I want to put something that is heavily loaded with chemicals on my face! For me personally, the ingredient list is a complete turn-off and it negates all the other positives! Still if you wish to try this out, I strongly recommend you to do a patch test and go for a smaller size first. But I would neither repurchase nor recommend this. Highly Disappointed! 😦

Till next time,
