Welcome back to my blog! Today’s review is on a very popular product from the brand L.A.Girl. I am talking about their orange corrector that I have been using for a long time now. Keep reading to find out more!
What The Brand Claims: L.A. Girl’s HD Pro Concealers are crease-resistant with opaque coverage in a creamy, yet lightweight texture. The long-wearing concealer formula camouflages darkness under the eyes, redness and skin imperfections. Our concealers provide complete, natural-looking coverage, even skin tones, cover dark circles and minimize fine lines around the eyes. Orange Corrector neutralizes dark spots for medium/deep skin tones.
Packaging: The corrector comes in a plastic tube with a bristle applicator. One needs to squeeze the tube in order to dispense the product. All the important details such as date of manufacturing, price, best-before date and ingredient list are clearly laid out. Overall, the packaging is convenient-to-use as well as travel-friendly, but can be considered unhygienic by some because of its applicator.
My Experience With The Product: As the name suggests, this corrector is orange in color and has a creamy, but slightly thick texture. It can also feel a little dry, which is why it is important to hydrate your under-eye area properly in order to ensure smooth application. It easily spreads on the skin but you need to blend it quickly.
In my experience, it works best with a damp blending sponge and even fingers. The pigmentation of this corrector is excellent. The color payoff is so amazing that you just need a teeny-tiny amount of the product for each use, that makes it go a long, long way.
As per the color wheel, the orange shade cancels the blue undertones, which then needs to be followed with a layer of concealer. This product works brilliantly and does a great job of color correcting. The formula is lightweight and does not feel heavy or cakey under the eyes. Coming to the staying power, it easily stays put for 5-6 hours, which is great. It retails for Rs 595 for 8 gm and can be easily found online and in stores.
PS: It is better to start with a tiny amount and avoid applying too much of this corrector, otherwise it might leave an orange tinge under your eyes.
